An absolutely stunning, full bodied Shiraz! Meticulously crafted from our oldest vine fruit, and as our flagship wine, Gilt Edge is only released in the finest of vintages, and 2014 was one of those. A concentrated ruby red colour with crimson hues, this wine is rich, complex and enticing. Aromas of chocolate and blackberry fruits tempt the tastebuds, and on the palate the fine tannins and subtle oak envelope you. The fruit for this wine is picked from the oldest vines on the Estate, handmade in our barrel shed, basket pressed, and matured in French oak for up to 30 months. This wine is not bottled unless it reaches the high standard that Gilt Edge has become renowned for. 2014 was one of those exceptional years. The wine can be enjoyed now, or cellared for a further 2-10 years.
