Reserve Malbec

‘Midnight black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Spicy ripe blackcurrant aromas are complimented by mint, hints of blueberry and earthy cedar. 

Medium to full in body with a plump feel, spicy dark plum and blackcurrant fruits overlay dried herbs, mint and earthy cedar like characters.

Receiving many awards over the years, the Reserve Malbec is a consistently well made wine which over delivers every year. Big, full-bodied and juicy, this wine matches well with all red meats and rich dishes, but can also be enjoyed around the table with a group of friends and a bit of cheese. 

The fruit comes off the very top of the Estate grown vineyard, approx. 600m above Sea level. The vines over produce every year and extra bunches are dropped early in the season so that the remaining bunches are of high quality. 

Grapes are fermented in open fermenters, hand plunged daily, and then basket pressed and the juice goes into a mixure of new and old French oak barrels for up to 18months. 

Due to its structure, Eldredge Reserve Malbec has excellent cellaring potential and could be kept for many years to come.
