This year’s 2019 CLARE VALLEY WINE SHOW saw our 2018 ‘KITTY’ SANGIOVESE ROSE take out the award for the BEST ROSE OF THE SHOW.  In a competitive local field of around 20 Rose’s, Eldredge Wines managed to take out the top gong!

Owner and Winemaker, Leigh Eldredge, accepted the award in front of a crowd of more than 200 people who attended the Clare Valley Wine Show on Friday 11th October.  In accepting the award, Leigh acknowledged his favourite mother-in-law whom the wine is named after.  Leigh remembers dear departed Kitty with great affection, telling the crowd that she was such a fan of the Rose she would have had the wine intravenously if she could have!

In all seriousness, Leigh is very proud of the 2018 Rose.  He said it is “A beautiful fruit driven wine with a crisp dry finish, and a great example of a ‘French Provence’ dry rose.”

So why not buy a few bottles and enjoy it chilled on a warm afternoon with a few canapes and good friends.  At only $18 a bottle, it’s a steal!

Awarded a Silver at the International Malbec Competition in France

Our Malbec looked so fantastic in barrel that we had to release it to the public. An exciting wine that we think has great potential.

‘Mysterious dark berries and forbidden spices, give this wine an intense flavour and an elegant finish. An exciting new release.’

Awarded a Silver at the International Malbec Competition in France, the only Australian Malbec to place.
